Insta Find: Outstanding in the Field
The premise is simple enough. Find a gorgeous field somewhere in the middle of rural America, add a super-long table, fill it with locally-sourced food, and invite a bunch of people to come along and celebrate.
That's exactly what Jim Denevan did 15 years ago, when he organised his first open-air feast at Andy Griffin’s Mariquita Farm near Santa Cruz in California.
Since then, his company Outstanding in the Field has organized more than 600 events, and set up their signature long table in nine different countries. They've hosted feasts in farms, sea coves, vineyards; on rooftops; and even in a sea cave; all in the name of celebrating, understanding, and learning from the farmer.
I don't know about you, but I'm adding Outstanding in the Field to my bucket list. Look at these sensational feasts - in the most spectacularly scenic settings.
